Amy Schumer Confirms Separation from Spouse of Seven Years

Entertainer Amy Schumer has revealed that she and her partner, cook Chris Fischer are divorcing following a seven-year union.

The renowned comedian said in a social media post on recently, alongside a photo of the two of them on the subway, that they had made the "tough choice" to split and will continue to focus on raising their son, who is six.

"It's friendly, with total love and respect! Family forever," she wrote.

The 44-year-old Schumer and 45-year-old Fischer, tied the knot in February 2018 and welcomed their son the following year.

She humorously noted in the social media update that the split is not "because I dropped some lbs" and not because Fischer is an "acclaimed culinary expert who can still pull some hot tail".

He earned the prestigious James Beard award in the American Cooking category for his 2015 cookbook focusing on Martha's Vineyard cuisine.
